Janderson Marine Services was built around one simple idea:
Waterfront work should be done by people who understand the water.

As a career offshore ROV technician and lifelong waterman, I’ve spent years working around vessels, structures, and marine environments — from subsea cable operations to harbor support. Bringing that experience home to Virginia’s waterways, Janderson Marine Services focuses on practical, reliable, small-scale marine support for homeowners, marinas, and waterfront communities.

We specialize in:

• Work boat conversions & commercial utility builds (JM21-CR Series)

Our mission is to keep local docks, lifts, and waterfront structures safe, functional, and maintained — while building purpose-driven vessels designed for working the water.

Whether we’re documenting underwater pilings, replacing worn deck boards, or configuring a hull for commercial duty, the approach is the same:

Show up prepared. Work efficiently. Respect the water. Leave things better than we found them.

We operate with a low-impact, environmentally conscious approach, using battery-powered equipment where possible and performing services directly from the water to reduce disturbance to your property.

What We Don’t Do

To stay focused and safe, we do not perform barge work, pile replacement, underwater welding, or heavy marine construction. Our services are designed for maintenance, inspection, and support — not major rebuilds.

Service Area

Proudly serving the James River, Richmond area, Chesapeake watershed, and surrounding VA waterways. We will make occasional trips to The Outer Banks as well.
